Clean Water & Sanitation

Safe drinking-water systems, school toilets, and a maintenance plan the community writes itself.

Running since
2020

Water is not fixed by laying pipe. Nepal's hills are full of abandoned water schemes — abandoned because nobody had been made responsible for repairing them.

We work from source protection through to household taps. But the more important work is the water users' committee, the monthly tariff that funds repairs, and the local technician trained to make them.

Where we build girl-friendly toilets and handwashing stations at schools, attendance among girls rises measurably within a year.

What it delivers

  • Gravity-fed drinking-water systems
  • Girl-friendly toilets in schools
  • Water users' committees with a repair fund
  • Local technicians trained to maintain the system
