240 students in Sindhupalchok receive this year's scholarships

At a ceremony at the end of July, 240 students from seven community schools in Sindhupalchok received their scholarships for the new academic year.

Selection was made on the joint recommendation of school management committees, class teachers and the ward office. Fifty-eight per cent of those selected are girls.

Of last year's scholarship holders, 94 per cent passed their annual examinations and moved up a grade. For the remainder, we have sat down with each family individually to understand why.
